The Memorial to the Resistance at Chasseneuil-sur-Bonnieure, a high place of the Resistance in the Charente, is frequently visited by pupils from primary and secondary schools.
In the course of the 2004-2005 school year, over 800 pupils from 12 different schools, including 5 from outside the county, visited the site.
It is also a place of pilgrimage and contemplation for tourists from France, England, America and Japan.
Lastly, it is a place of remembrance where numerous ceremonies take place.
